Aurélie Ollemann: « JYPO, Hello, can you describe us your artistic step ? »
JYPO: « to use the painting for me, it is a very powerful means of communication, we can say so many things by the image, much more than by the words thus my artistic step, it is to communicate felt him, the feelings, we could write a book about that…it’s a means to express the way we win things »
AO: « JYPO, you are hyperrealistic painter, can you give us your definition of the hyperrealism? »
JYPO: « the hyperrealism often, is interpreted through the photorealism, for my part, there is an important difference between both the photorealism represents a strictly exact retort of a photography, while the hyperrealism represents a rigorous reality with more which does not have anything any more to see with photography…to some extent: to bind the precision to the artistic expression… to be more precise technically; to rectify all that is shade and light saturated, in order to obtain a nearly perfect balance, the dream of any photographer!, and a personal key which makes it possible to reach emotional degree »
AO: « You chose to treat diversity as well through your subjects as of your techniques, why? »
JYPO: « the choice of diversity is completely voluntary, because it is in adequacy with the sight that I have existence: a multiplicity of elements. I need to express a unit, and not an element, all that touches directly with the life, because all is bound, and all is in all; there is not a subject which dominates my expression, there is to express the subjects, therefore not express a precise topic, but to express the topic of the life, this is why in this logic i use mainly three techniques that i love particularly »
The blood one: for what it has of so simple, of so sober, of so subjective, because it is limited to a shade which lets guess the light… this subtlety touches me, speaks to me, which enables me to also create an atmosphere, an environment, soft, alleviating…
The pastel: by this matter, precisely, if attractive, that of a simple chalk of color can appear so much of possibility… this matter which one crushes, which one melts, that one mixes, that one touches, that one palpates, and who allows such an amount of expression in the field of the color, that it is impossible for me not to return there regularly.
Oil:this extraordinary molecule, so fine, so transparent, able to bring us to us to transcend ourselves, so much it is flexible, subtile, to see secret… it makes it possible to pass to a work of relief as a epaissor to a work of an absolute smoothness, in total transparency, allowing in the light of penetrating all the superpositions of layers, it also gives access to the extreme details, it seems not to have any limits, and by the fact closely binds us with all the artists who preceded us during centuries, since the birth of this marvellous matter which is the oil-base paint…
AO: « You about your works, on this subject, how did you speak to us take as a starting point your current collection ? »
JYPO: « very simply… in my memory, information of my real life, my experiences, all the notes taken, the sketches, the photographs, of the cumulated observations, from where ended up being essential an idea… source of inspiration also, travellings abroad; in particular with the sri-lanka, which is a true element release of my artistic step, I had as well things to say and express as the words were not enough, and I bound the richness of this travel, with the richness of my real life in my own country… in spite of appearances, the unit seemed to me very dependent, very coherent, because quite simply, it is the life, it is the expression of the life, so I baptized my current collection: « Make window on the life… » »
AO: « JYPO, you realize, your first work at 40 years, very late compared to the generality, why? »
JYPO: « the concretization of my works, begins indeed, very late in comparison of artists who expressed since their youth, in spite of a very strong desire for painting, in parallel, i had a need read extremely still, that to understand to store, file, analyze, transpierce, imagine, this lapse time was necessary, because related to a philosophical step, which I could summarize in a sentence: to give time to time »
AO: « if you must describe an element which dissociates you from all the other painters, what would you say ?»
JYPO: « impossible to give an element which dissociates me from all the other painters, since I which is dissociated from all humans beings, not that there is an element is a claim in in my remarks, but simply a consideration that the human one is single, human being… to be single as much as much, for me my difference appears at this stage, and it then allows express as many time the way of receiving, of feeling, of living… »
AO: « JYPO, how old are you? »
JYPO: « I am 252 years old more than Mozart… (to laugh) »
AO: « amateur of classical music? »
JYPO: « impassioned! … the music by what it enabled me to discover, represents for me, a source of exploration and of inspiration, extraordinary, because philosophically and materially, I consider that all is transposable, therefore all that the music taught me will be found with one moment or with another, in the realization of my tables »
AO: « Where were you born? »
JYPO: « some share here, on the planet ground »
